I always knew that I wanted to be a painter, but life got in the way…
Thirty years ago I began to study and paint seriously. After experimenting
with various mediums, I fell in love with the challenge of watercolor.
Today, painting realism in an impressionistic way drives me to capture my
subjects on location. My love for the outdoors inspired me to become a
plein air painter. The beauty of nature continually provides me with an
array of subject matter.
Over the years I have
studied with leading watercolorists including ten years with Lucille
Geiser, and watercolor workshops with Betty L. Schlemm, Nita Engle,
Zoltan Szabo, Tony Couch, Bridgett Austin, Judy Betts, Max Muller
and Judy Wagner.
A native New Yorker, today my paintings are featured
in group, invitational and solo exhibitions in Florida and New
Jersey. The recipient of many awards, I continue to be active in Art
Center Manatee, Venice Art Center, Art Center Sarasota and the Women
Contemporary Artists organization. I exhibit regularly at the Guild
of Creative Art and at the annual Monmouth Festival of the Arts both
in Monmouth County New Jersey.
