Betty Carmell Savenor received her BFA from Massachusetts College of Art,
Boston (scholarship). She also studied at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts
(scholarship). DeCordova Museum, Jackson Von Ladau School of Fashion, and
Brandeis University. She is listed in: Who's Who in the East,
Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Art, World's
Who's Who Women. She is a prolific painter. Her work reflects
her goal as an artist: to combine the beauty and drama of nature and its
abundant manifestations with an emotional identification beyond the pure
visual. Savenor paints from the heart without ignoring the head. She is
able to create compositions that are relevant to both by floating images
in a swirl of energy and color pleasing to the eye. These images hint at a
connection that the viewer then completes, and in doing so begins a
relationship with the painting. Savenor has learned to involve the viewer,
and the conversation is complete.
