Margo began her studies at East Texas State University, acclaimed as one of the top Universities in the US for photography. She went on to become a photo lab assistant at North Lake College where she received the 1984 Special Achievement Award in Photography. Her photography was represented by Travel Stock in Los Angeles as she pursued her love for travel and black and white photography.


 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Following a move to Florida she photographed real estate in Sarasota. After the birth of her daughter, she became interested in photographing the innocence and beauty of children of all ages. She’s worked in Fine Art Black and White, Hand Tinting, and the Renaissance Oil. At the present time Margo is blending traditional art with new technology creating Pastel, Oil and Contemporary Portraits.

 


She has had numerous awards and exhibit experience throughout the years. Her exhibit experience includes the Washington Square East Galleries in New York City (1983), the Hilton Plaza Hotel in San Francisco (1981), the Polaroid Corporation Seminar in NYC (1986) and the Parsons School Exhibit in Paris (1985).


She graduated top of her class at Elkins School of Photography in Dallas and won second place in the Columbia Scholastic Press Association Award in New York (1985).


 

Margo has spent many years traveling and photographing different parts of the world. She was honored to have studied with Lisl Dennis in Morrocco, the late Kate Carter and Lucien Clergue in Fontvielle, France and attended the Rencontre in Arles, France. She studied with various photographers at the Parsons School of Design in Paris, France and with portrait artist Seraphine Landgrere at the Florida School.


She currently works out of her portrait studio in Sarasota, Florida.
