“I I try to make a positive statement that will bring lightness as well as
a new awareness to things and places that are around us. Colonial
Williamsburg, the Chesapeake Bay boats, and flowers are some of my
favorite subjects.
After 9-11 I felt an urgency to create two quite large paintings using
collage of news clippings and family photos and acrylic paints. There was,
of course, nothing light about these paintings. I am gratified that it
seems to draw viewers, and I hope it helps them to the catharsis we need
as a nation.”

Paintings
can be seen at Gallery on the York (formerly On the Hill), at York Hall,
This Century Art Gallery in the Williamsburg area. In Florida, her works
are on view at the Art Center Sarasota, The Venice Art Center, and the
Englewood Art Center.
