My two homes have instilled in me a love of both mountains and seashore.

I am currently immersed in landscape painting and working ‘en plein air’ allows me to become a part of the  nature which has always inspires me  Often I will do quick sketches out of doors, take a few reference photos and then let my imagination influence the outcome as I complete the work in my studio.

My art has been a reflection of my dance throughout life.  Early in life I worked in oils and for years sculpture in clay and bronze satisfied my sense of “the dance”.  Now I find that color and light beckon me to work in pastel.  Always my work has been a form of meditation and a source of peace.

EDUCATION: BS in Educ. Primarily self taught in the field of art

OCCASIONAL WORKSHOPS  have been a stimulus throughout the years

APPRENTICESHIP for more than five years in the studio of FRANK  COLSON was instrumental in teaching me the art and technique of mastering clay and bronze including an understanding of casting.
