STATEMENT
All of my artwork has involved exploring repetition and subtle
variations of form and color- and a fascination in intricate
detail. Although I consider myself a painter, recent work is in
mixed media collage. I work with bits and pieces of photos,
fabric, sewing materials, stamps, maps, and found objects often
burying them in “encaustic-like” acrylic mediums.
The materials, altered with the paint and medium, create an
emotional resonance and complexity that I find similar to
memory.
