Artist Sally Sloan uses anything within arm’s
reach to make her art. Textures, patterns, applied papers and plenty of
color produce paintings that are appealing at first glance and then
encourage the viewer to step closer to make new discoveries.

Sally is interested in putting together
diverse materials and adapting their uses to the problems at hand,
producing a fresh approach that is uniquely hers and resulting in a
painting that is accessible and pleasing to the eye. Engaging the viewer
in the process is important. She believes that art should constantly
reveal something new each time it is examined, making the work timeless
and
constantly intriguing.
