Color, rhythm, and strong design are the elements that appeal to me
artistically. I like to use bold colors that sing to each other and use a
rhythmic flow leading to a clear focal point. Fiber has always been my
choice of medium as I enjoy the tactile pleasures it offers.

Sewing
clothing and winning awards in high school led me to earn my B.S. Degree
in Retailing of Clothing and Textiles from Marygrove College, Detroit, MI.
Designing and making clothing has been my forte, but quilting became my
passion.
I enjoy making contemporary wall hangings, from conception of an
idea through to completion. With the huge resurgence of interest in
quilting over the past 25 years, artquilts and wearable art have come into
their own with many venues for their exhibition. I have been a strong
competitor in juried local, national, and international shows, receiving
numerous ribbons for excellence.
In the past 20 years, I have taught quilt related workshops, planned and
conducted fashion shows and wearable art displays, and worked on the
judging committee during the NQA jurying process for quilt shows
